GAIL’S HARLEY-DAVIDSON CCO

On September 19, 2015 the Sho-Me Pod together with Gail’s Harley-Davidson in Grandview, Missouri, held their first annual CASI cook-off. This year’s cook-off and fundraiser benefited the Heartland Police Motorcycle Association, raising just over $3,000.00. Cooks from four states, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and Indiana, were represented in this cook-off. The festivities started on Wednesday prior to the cook-off with Sho-Me Pod members Kevin Stovall, Jim Lilleston, Ryan Reynolds, Larry Velasquez, Colleen Lintner and Cecilia Rivera cooking enough chili and hot dogs to feed hungry riders for Gail’s weekly bike night.

Saturday the festivities continued with the Heartland Police Association’s 5th Annual Motorcycle Challenge that day. Gail’s Harley-Davidson also hosted the First Responders Appreciation Day, as well as the chili cook-off. The good folks at Gail’s were the most gracious hosts, supplying all the awards for the winners including the fabulous Wendell Rankin stove. After all the festivities were finished Matt Chiappetta, Store Director at Gail’s Harley-Davidson, stated how pleased he was and how much fun was had by the staff and visitors to the cook-off. Matt has put his support behind Sho-Me Pod to make the 2016 cook-off bigger and better! Stay tuned to our Facebook page for announcements early in the coming year, this is a cook-off is not to be missed.
